{take me out to the ball game}
we have had such great weather for baseball the last couple of games against silverton. big change from all of the hail and rain we have had to endure at the beginning of the season.
we beat silverton all three games in the series after dropping 6 in a row to corvallis teams. hopefully we are on a roll. the kids looked great and hopefully are getting into a groove.
go rebels!

{tagged by jess and susanne}
once you are tagged you must take a picture of yourself right then and there....no primping.
reasons it's horrible:
1. i look like i am punching myself in the face
2. i seriously need to wax my eyebrows.....holy brooke shields!
3. just home from a baseball game....all of my makeup is G-O-N-E.....but sadly, this is what i usually look like even with a little makeup on.
4. my hand looks like it is growing out of the side of my face
5. i need to dress up more often
6. i look really tired and annoyed.....and it shows

{family}
i got the best easter present yesterday from my mom......over 1,000 pictures of my dad's side of the family. i am so excited to scan through every single one of them!
here's my dad {middle}, his brother john {on the left}, and a cousin i think reading up in their grandma's barn in kansas.
this is my grandpa hodson riding around on his go cart that we used to ride all over their property. that's my aunt margerie's dog skipper riding along on the side.
me and my aunt margery knitting at my grandma's house. when i was little i wanted to "inherit" this green couch from my grandma. i think it is rotting in my aunt's barn somewhere.
when my cousins and i were little we used to have "plays" at my grandma's house at christmas. she would play the piano and we would sing and put on shows for all of our aunts and uncles.
such great memories. watch for more pictures to come.....i am going to be a little obsessed for awhile.

{volleyball weekend at psu}
bright and early morning for us on saturday. met zoe sams at starbucks at 6 a.m. then it was off to portland state for a volleyball tournament.
after every tournament they just seem to get closer and closer. they are a great bunch of girls.
saturday market was right down the street from where we played, so john and i made a couple of trips down there between games and wandered around.
we stopped at fudruckers on the way home with zoe, jordan, and ali. we were home by around 9:30. it was a great day, but didn't really feel like a day off.
madison, ali, and hayley
john and i just took madison to see hannah montana for Easter this afternoon. it was a cute movie. we couldn't drag zac.....he took a nap instead.
looking forward to the week. i still have so much to do at work and have basically lost any assistance i may have had before {thanks to the great economy}....so have spent the last 16 hours at work doing input and working on thank yous. will probably be working on that for at least the next 2 days before i can jump into ladies night out.

{club auction brings in $380k}
Every seat was full Saturday night at the 28th annual Boys & Girls Club auction, “Kick Up Yer Spurs For Kids.”A full house of 570 were on hand to bid for a wide range of donated items to raise funds for the club.Bidders could select spas, fishing trips, vacations and sporting goods, along with more personal items like a quarter-carat diamond ring donated by Jordan Jewelers. Office coordinator Janie Bacio gave Kelli Nash of Jefferson a closer look during the live bidding. By the end of the night the event had grossed $380,000.Director Ryan Graves was ecstatic: “We had expected we would be down as much as 20 percent this year because of the way the economy is but we are very pleased with the results. We were only off about 10 percent overall. People were very generous.”The auction proceeds make up about 25 percent of the club’s budget. Graves said they will be used to help with a variety of projects including improving playing fields.
