{this week}

this has been a pretty hectic week for me and my family.....sorry for neglecting the blog.

here are a few updates.

at a volleball tourney for madison all day sunday

{that means on the road by about 6:30 a.m. home around 8:30 p.m.}

they did a great job and moved up in the power rankings from #83 to #71! basically, they finished second in the tournament. great job!

madison rode the bus home with taylor yesterday after school and by the looks of the pictures i found on her camera......they are easily entertained.

the girls had late start this morning, so tay stayed the night.

i drugged zac enough this afternoon to talk him into letting me take a picture of his chipmunk cheeks. he is getting really bruised on the right side {i guess the left as you are looking at the picture}.....he was really sick last night and had a puke fest before bed.

i was feeling a little bad for taking wednesday off, but now i am so glad i did. he really needed me to be home today. hopefully he will be feeling better tomorrow.

megan brought him over lunch this afternoon {macaroni and cheese} and my mom is coming over to clean the house tomorrow, so if i need to go back to work he will at least have people checking on him.

he is still a little loopy and in pain, but is starting to snap at me a lot, so that is a sure sign he is on the road to recovery.

so, last night i posted a date, place, and time for our next date.

but, the taliban stalker from france {with pictures of pig heads in pots and old ladies rolling bread dough on a board} commented on my post and freaked me out.

what if he flew in for our date and bombed red robin?

i couldn't live with myself.

so, anne and i {who were chatting at 11:00 about things like tutu's and stalkers}

decided that maybe you should all e-mail me for the place.

• chaperoned a middle school dance friday night
• took six girls out for dinner at red robin
• had same six stay the night
• went on a date with my bff to carino's and the movies on saturday night
• saw some people i used to know....they didn't say hi....i wasn't surprised.....i expected it. par for the course.
• missy came over and we watched t.v.....in peace and quiet
• madison stayed the night at tay's last night
• grocery shopped today
• bought a wii fit
• coffee at starbucks
• lunch with john at red robin
• car wash
• grocery shopped
• tay staying the night here
• jake and jonathan staying the night here
• boys going to see grand torino at 10:30
• girls are bored.....albany is boring
• excited for tuesday's inaguration
• bought supplies to make "obama" cupcakes
• tay says i definitely need to make them chocolate. that's funny to me.

anyway.....anne and i had talked about going out to dinner {with the whole crew} next wednesday....turns out that is the day i am going to my grandpa's for his christmas dinner {which got cancelled because of the weather}....

{nutty and nuttier}

nutty and nuttier are staying the night tonight. well, i only claim nuttier, but nutty practically lives here too.

missy and i actually walked tonight. we were in my neighborhood {pitch black i might add} when out of the corner of missy's eye she spied an enormous red and black tutu running toward us in the shadows. it had a huge devil's tail, a scarf, and sunglasses. and with the tutu person was a girl with a black cat suit on with a purple scarf, sunglasses, and slippers.

you guessed it. my two nuts trying to scare us when we were out walking.

i'm annoyed with both of them right now, but it was a funny memory at the time.
now they just need to go to bed.

{maggie and me}

went to see "marley and me" with my friend allison this afternoon.

it was one of the best movies i have seen in a long time.

a real tear jerker though.....bring your kleenex.

zac took megan last night and even admitted that it was the first and only movie he has ever cried at.

i thought of maggie the whole time.

{today}

finished new moon on thursday.

will finish eclipse tonight, or at least by tomorrow.

{update}

who thought my uggs would get this much excitement?

funny story.....these are hand me down uggs from my friend teresa. they didn't fit her, or missy, or nicole.....so, like missy says i was the "cinderella" who inherited them because they fit my feet. believe me, i will take hand-me-down, black knit, oh so cozy, hardly used uggs any day of the week. smile.

so far today.....

listening to the rain beat against my window

finished "new moon" and started "eclipse" {nice to be reading again}

just got out of the shower {3 p.m.}

put on my new sweats and my cozy uggs

heading out to pick up some stuff at the store

zac's cleaning out his closet and has requested rubbermaid drawers {i'm all over that}

starbucks is a must
