{rebels fall to thurston}

{update on zac}

took zac to get x-rays this morning on his ankle. nothing was broke {they aren't quite sure how he lucked out on that one}.....he has a really bad sprain and a lot of bleeding which will cause a lot of bruising this week. he has to stay off of it until tuesday and then can start walking on it with an air splint. we will start physical therapy this week as well. he was out about midway through the second quarter. heart breaking. possibly out 3 weeks....it will just depend on how quickly he can bounce back. he couldn't put any weight on it today.

South Albany stymies the Colts’
run game, but can’t slow their

Thurston quarterback Tym Pearson threw six
first-half touchdown passes to give the Colts a
41-0 halftime lead en route to a 47-12 win at
South Albany.

The Rebels’ offense couldn’t match its output
last week in a 63-13 season-opening
win against Liberty.

Danny Urness was the recipient
of three of Pearson’s four
second-quarter touchdown
tosses.

Greg Hoover got the Rebels on
board in the fourth quarter with
a 15-yard run into the end zone
before Jesse Duke broke free for
a 49-yard score.

Duke carried the ball 12 times
for a team-high 104 yards on the ground to
help the Rebels out-rush Thurston 162 yards to
28.

South Albany (0-2) plays at Klamath Union
next Friday.
