what was i thinking?

madison and i had planned on going school clothes shopping on saturday. i have been trying to pass a kidney stone {this is about number 12 i think....ugh} and friday night knew for sure there was no way i was going to be able to drive to eugene. we got a phone call from calvin at about 8:30 on friday night saying he broke his collar bone at practice and was on his way to the emergency room. the plan was to still take it easy on saturday, but i woke up and felt pretty o.k.....so madison talked me in to driving to lincoln city to shop at the outlets.....of course a detour to see calvin was part of the plan too.

made it to the coast o.k.....hadn't eaten in two days so felt a little crummy, but i just chalked that up to laying around so much. made it to the outlets and lost it about an hour into the trip. could barely walk. had to get calvin back to newport so he could get his vicodin, so couldn't stay in lincoln city.

we ended up having to stay the night in newport. not cheap, but what are you gonna do. lesson learned. shouldn't have gone.

hopefully will feel well enough for work tomorrow. the more drugs the better at this point.

back from vegas....ahhhh. best vacation i've had in a very long time.

no expectations. no plans to speak of. just being lazy and spontaneous with my bff

it was such a great 4 days and i can't wait to do it again.

more time by the pool next time for sure.

we would love to take our kids....they would have a ball.

got home on wednesday night around 9:00 and then left on thursday morning to pick up calvin in newport. he's been at our house since.

john and i took the kids miniature golfing in corvallis yesterday.

it was so hot. calvin and john were being super competitive. it was funny.
we came home and ate dinner and then john, madison, calvin, and i went to the park and played catch with the football and bumped the volleyball.

taking calvin home in a couple of hours. can't believe school starts in a couple of weeks. it really snuck up on me this summer. i think it's because we were so busy.

zachary and megan went to eugene all day yesterday to go school clothes shopping. registration is this week as well as reverse raffle tomorrow night. going to be another busy week.

tomorrow is the day i have been dreading all summer.

taking calvin home for good. no more camp outs in the backyard. no more movies. no more river rhythms and lunch dates. no more bowling and marshmallow fights.

super hard on madison.....surprisingly heart wrenching for me.

easy for someone like me to fall in love with someone in a very short period of time....like a summer.

we will make sure and visit about once a month and he and madison will burn up the texts lines.

tomorrow will be a not so good, terrible, horrible day.

{freaking out for no good reason}

i really wish it was still the weekend and i was filling up water balloons for the kids.

much less stressful than this week for sure.

golf tourney, hoop jam, and then have to take calvin back home.....which is stressing me out the most. i hate it! not doing real well with the though of it.
